Garden of the Gods

📍 Westside · 1805 N. 30th St. · Free · 5 a.m.–9 p.m. Nov. 1–Apr. 30

Towering red-rock formations against Pikes Peak, and it's free. The paved Perkins Central Garden Trail (1.5 miles, nearly flat) is the easy way in. A guided 10:30 a.m. nature walk leaves the Visitor & Nature Center daily ($5, reservations required).

Cheyenne Mountain Zoo

📍 Southwest · 4250 Cheyenne Mountain Zoo Rd.

A zoo on the side of a mountain. Every October it runs Boo at the Zoo, with 25+ trick-or-treat stations (advance timed tickets required).

The historic shopping district hosts seasonal street events like Pumpkins in the Park, with a pumpkin patch, face painters and fall crafts.

Emma Crawford Coffin Races (Manitou Springs)

📍 Manitou Springs · Manitou Ave. · Every October

Costumed teams race homemade coffins down Manitou Avenue, a Manitou Springs Chamber tradition since 1995 that draws 10,000+ spectators. Use the event's free shuttles.

Venetucci Farm

Fall Pumpkin Fest weekends with a hayride, hay pyramid, storybook barn, food trucks and themed weekends. The last weekend of October is the only one when dogs are welcome.

Long Neck Pumpkin Farm

Family-run farm with hayrides, a hay slide, duck races, farm animals and tractor swings. Tickets cover all activities and parking.
